What Causes Stomach Discomfort With Hematemesis?

my fiancee is a 49 year old african american american , and he vomitted blood yesterday. HE refuces to go to the doctors or to take anything , he grew up not believing in taking things. I am kind of concerned , hes eating today , but been complaining of stomach bothering him for weeks and weeks now.... I am kind of concerned however he has a strong faith and believes when its his time its his time, please please help me, I am kind of scared, thank you!

The most possible reason for such condition is bleeding gastric ulcer, portal
hypertension or else. He must get checked at the ER, rather than neglecting it.
