What Causes Stomach Infection After Taking Allegra?

Hi I am Tamal Das from Kolkata, India, My 2.5yr. old boy suffers from cold and cough frequently, once my doctor prescribed Cetrized / Allegra , as now my doctor was out of station for three days, I have given Allegra 30 mg , three times a day for last three days as previously doctor advised, after that his cough gets dry , but we noticed that some skin rashes, vomitting tendencies, stomach disorder and immediately. previously my boy had suffered a stomach infection, when his symptoms are vomitting and white colerd stool, lose of appetite. Now My concern is that, is the stomach infection comes back again or its a general side effects of Allegra ??? May I give him Livoline which also my doctor once prescribed for cough and cold??? Hello
You know the dose of allegra i.e. fexofenadine is just 4 mg / kg body weight , once in day .
Your child weight must not be >10 kg.
In my opinion without any consultation you had given over doses to your children .
Nausea, vomiting may be due to allegra but the cause of concern is WHITE COLORED STOOL .
This may be due to physiological jaundice ( please don't take tension on the name of jaundice , this is natural and curable ).
So consult a paediatrician and get his opinion because physical examination is important.
