What Causes Stomach Pain After Gallbladder Removal?
I have stomach pain every day. My gallbladder was removed about 2 years ago because it was functioning at .3% that didn't fix the problem. The doctor found a stone in my appendix about a year ago. I can't drink anything but tea because everything upsets my stomach food does the same thing. Lately I haven't been able to eat without feeling sick or I just don't have an appetite at all. My pains are either crampy and throbbing or sharp. What could be causing my problems?
"post cholecystectomy pain" maybe due to stones in common bile duct OR fat intolerance OR functional pain.
need further evaluation.
advice: - get an ultrasound (abdomen) to rule out any stone remnants in common bile duct - also get a complete blood cell count(CBC) test - avoid OILY food altogether or as less as possible - you may need to take nexium/pantocid 40mg once daily before breakfast - avoid eating stomach full and mouth full - eat small meals - avoid spicy food
wish you good health. further queries are welcomed.
wish you good health. regards, Dr Tayyab Malik
