What Causes Stomach Pain And Diarrhea After An Oral Surgery?
I had oral surgery a week ago and have been on a course of Percoset, Amox, Ibuphophen. I started experiencing stomach pain and diarrhea 3 days ago. I stopped taking the Amox two days ago. The pain and the diarrhea persist. I am not sleeping well. The pain is high under the sternum. Please advise.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of stomach pain and diarrhea after an oral surgery which seems to be due to excessive intake of antibiotics as this is one of major side effects of antibiotics such as Amox. I would suggest you to take probiotics in diet and avoid intake of sharp and spicy food. Drink plenty of water. Take alternative course of medications. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Avoid immediate sleep after having meals.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
