What Causes Stomach Pain And Fluctuations In Body Temperate?
My daughter aged 5 has had a temp for a week now. It is mostly kept down with the rotation of ibrufen and paracetamol. She seems fine for 5 to 6 hours but them she gets cold and shivery and the temp starts to rise. She says the odd time her tummy hurts but other than that has no other symptoms. I have not been to the doctors as I know there are a lot of bugs and viruses at this time of year. Is this not going on too long now. And although her symptoms haven t worsened they are not improving either.
Such symptoms are indicative of gastrointestinal infection due to contaminated food or rarely food poisoning. I would recommend you to consult a pediatrician and get her evaluated for bowel infection. Possible reasons could be many depending on where you live and they can be due to typhoid, Ecoli infection, yersinia enterocolitica, campylobacter. The initial tests would be blood culture, serum widal, stool test and a blood test to see for specific cause of infection. According to the report, antibiotics will be then used to treat her infection.
I hope this helps. wish you all the best. thank you for choosing healthcaremagic.
