What Causes Stomach Pain And Vomiting After Taking Metaxalone?

I am currently on metaxalone 800 mg-xanax er 1mg-prazosine 1mg and 5 mg- fluvoxamine 100 mg- meloxicam 15 mg- omeprazol 40 mg and tylenol with cod #3. The metaxalone is the only medication that I took for the 1st time today. Shortly after that I ended up with severe stomach pain. I did make myself vomit. Any contradiction I need to be concerned with?

Stomach pain and vomiting have been described among the side effects of metaxalone.Since it is the drug you took the first time today and you had your symptoms shortly after the dose, it is likely a side effect of the drug.I will suggest you try the following:
-Take your other drugs as planned
-Take another dose of metaxalone away from the other drugs and observe, that is, do not take at the same time with the others.You may take a few hours after taking the others.
If symptoms persist, you see your Doctor for evaluation and a possible change of drug.Metaxalone is a myorelaxant and there are many other drugs in this family your Doctor may prescribe depending on the reason for which he prescribed the drug initially.
