Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Stomach Pain, Vomiting And Sulphur Burps?
My stomach has been hurting for days now, I threw up food I ate two days ago this morning and anytime I eat anything my stomach hurts and burns and I end up getting sick, this is as well as just drinking water makes it hurt. When I get sick it smells like sulfur and I feel really bloated and even experiencing the sulfur burps as well.
You have got gastritis, that's inflammation of stomach linings. It happens due to increased acidity. This is reason for your vomiting and other symptoms. It might have resulted due to food poisoning.
As a practising doctor I treat my patients with these complaints with antacids (injection ranitidine or pantoperazole, tablets like omeperzole) and antiemetics (domperidone, ondansetron) for 3 days. These medicines are available over the counter. Majority of them become fine very soon. Keep taking plenty of fluids along with medicines.
However if you don't get relief by this then I would like to advise you to visit a physician in your area for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
I hope i have clarified your queries. Do write for follow up queries. Please provide feedback. I wish you good health. Thank you.
