What Causes Stomach Upset After Receiving Steroid Injection On The Spine?
Good morning I have had a steroid injection in my lumber spine 2 days ago for 2 ruptured disc l5 and s1 I have woken up in agony Have been taking codeine but unsure if this has given me a upset stomach or not I also have DHC continus 60 mg and wondering which to take any advice would be appreciated thanks kat
The stomach upset can be due to the intense pain you are experiencing or it may be a side effect of codeine. DHC contains a drug similar to codeine, paracetamol, and caffeine. If the vomiting is due to codeine then your vomiting will get worse.
You will need to let your doctor know about your pain worsening and vomiting. Sometimes, IV drugs are needed if a patient is vomiting and also IV fluids.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
