What Causes Stomach Upset Along With Dizziness?

I was at a funeral luncheon. My stomach was s little upset. I thought I should eat something. I had some scalloped potatoes. Then I started to get dizzy. I told my wife I needed to leave. On the way out I lost my balance a couple of times. I was really hot when they sat me down.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You already had an element of the gastric problem, in addition, you are potatoes notorious for the gas formation, and it was a spicy preparation causing enhanced gastric acidity all of these caused you the symptoms.

Still, you need your blood pressure check from your family physician and get a specific medication to advise. Take rest, eat or drink bland food or liquids (like milk, non-spicy or oily food in small servings).

Take over the counter tab Ranitidine twice a day. Suck tablet Gelusil MPS over-the-counter as per symptoms. Digestive Enzyme preparations like capsule Bystozyme may add to relief.

In case of no relief, consult a physician for systemic examination, and specific medication advise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
