Hi, My husband is a Auto Body Painter...when he uses a specific primer to paint a car he says he feels weird. He doesn t look himself and gets an upset stomach, he excessively has bowel movements and sometimes he even vomits. What are the side effects from him smelling paint and primer all day?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, the fumes from primer and paint are toxic to the body. Nerve damage, mucosa damage, lung & other damage (Including fertility) can occur in long term exposure with higher risk for cancer. His current symptoms suggest toxicity. Please have him wear protective face wear (eyes nose and mouth) & limit exposure.
Take this advice seriously.
Hope I've helped. Please get back to us for further clarification.
Wish you both good health
