Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I am a 24 year old male who has been very healthy and have had no health problems throughout my life. I lift weights 3 - 4 times a week and do cardio 2 - 3 times a week, so I am in good physical condition. I also eat pretty healthy, eating fruit and vegetables at least once a day. My stomach has been upset for the past 3-4 days and there has been a small amount of blood in my stool. It also burns when I defecate. The only time this has occurred in the past is from what I believe wiping too much after using the restroom. I was not sure if it is a hemorrhoid due to the heavy weight lifting I have done in the past, or the weights I lift now. Either way I am going to the doctor tomorrow to be on the safe side. Any thoughts?
