What Causes Stomachache And Mucus In Stool After Taking Cephalexin?

I was prescribed an antibiotic called cephalexin a little while back to treat strep. I got a yeast infection which I looked up is a side effect of the antibiotic. But tonight I got a really bad stomach ache followed by mucus heavy stool. I looked up that is also a side effect. The website said to contact a doctor but my mom doesn t like to go to doctors unless there is a really obvious problem. I just wanted to check on my own.

t.metronidazole 400 mg tds
c.pan 40 od (empty stomach)
c.cobadex od (after meal)
