What Causes Strange Sensation In Arm After Head Injury?

I have been have a strange feeling in my arms since hitting my head 2 mths ago. Sometimes it feels like I have a string or long hair blowing around on my arms. Other times it feels like small streams of electricity are running through my arms. There is no pain but it happens mostly when I m walking. I also have been experiencing shortness of breath.

Hi, If I were your treating Doctor for this case of sensitivity changes in your arms, I would ask for imaging study of your cervical cord, because a number of head injuries can cause damage to cervical spine as well. The best imaging study in this case is MR imaging of cervical spine, however you need plain radio graphs of cervical column to rule out instability or fracture. The treatment depends on results of imaging studies. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
