What Causes Strange Sensation In Breasts With Hardening Of Nipples?

Hi I m a 38 years old female pretty healthy over all. This have started about 3 years ago and it was mild at the beginning, but recently it has changed. So here it goes, every time I eat peanut butter I get this strange sensation in both of my breasts and my nipples harden. It is the same feeling that I used to have just prior to nursing my baby except the nipple hardening . I am more than 100% certain that I am not pregnant, so what could it be? Please someone help me. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Iwona, this is a completely normal phenomenon. Check if you are allergic to peanuts and if you are not, then just ignore this symptom. Some foods cause stimulation of our nerves especially sour foods like lemon. These foods cause stimulation of your taste buds and along with that other nerves in your body and you might experience tightening of skin, hair on the skin standing up or tingling sensations all through your body. In your case the sensations are affecting your breast and nipples. So it should not be cause of any concern. Take care and good day.
