What Causes Strange Sensations Near Navel When I Cough?
When I cough I get this strange Sensation when I cough near navel. It is only for a second and its not painful. Its really hard to describe about the only way I can describe it is it feels like something pops out and goes numb or a muscle spasm somewhat like I've been electrocuted in that one area. I had a doctor check it out she said it could or could not be a hernia, but she didn't feel one when I coughed. As I said its only for a moment and I never feel a bulge its fairly frightening though due to the weird sensation.

As from your history I doubt about umblical hernia.It can be complication of previous surgery in adults or with no cause.My opinion would be get checked by General Surgeon and you may also get an Ultrasound abdomen done to rule out any other cause.
