Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi I have had my implanon for over a year now and yesterday I noticed my arm started hurting when I woke up. This has never happened before and I m a little concerned. It s almost feels like my muscle is being stretched. And it still hurts today should I be concerned? Do I need to find an appointment?
As there doesn't seem to be worried. But in case you are having more trouble than an x-ray should be taken. If everything is fine and normal on the x-ray this pain can be muscular and with hot water fermentation and simple exercises you should do well.
In case this implant is of more than 2 years old and bone is healed completely then removal of the implant is always advised as it is a foreign material.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
