Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Lately before urinating, I have this metallic smell coming from my body. I shower everyday, wear cotton panties, mostly loose fitting clothes. My diet is kind of poor. A lot of sugar intake. Sometimes I drink a sufficient amount of water. I cannot get rid of this smell it is so embarrassing to be around people. Please help.
I think you should get a few investigations done taking into account your personal history of a poor diet, and metallic smell coming from your body lately.
I think they might be related. Poor diet is causing damages to your internal organs like liver and kidneys. So, get a full check up (liver/kidney function tests, urine analysis, complete blood count, and thyroid function tests) to determine the right diagnosis. Blood electrolytes to check too.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
