Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a strong pulse at my belly button, especially when I lay down. Little worried as it has been like this for years and no doctor can do anything for me. i have had another ultrasound 3 weeks ago and all came back good If I sit still or lay still, my body and head will move in rythm with my pulse Can you tell me a home test i can do to rule out an aorta aneurysm or see if it is this?
Aortic aneurysms can be easily seen on an ultrasound. As you had already normal multiple ultrasounds, there is nothing to worry. It is common, especially for lean people, to experience pulsation near umbilicus on laying down, as aorta comes closer to skin. If you are still so obsessed, kindly take the help of a psychologist for correcting that.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
