What Causes Sudden Abnormal & Untimely Heavy Periods Even After Mirena Coil Is Fitted?
Hi, I had the Mirena coil fitted about 4 years ago. I have had very light periods since fitted, only about every 8-12 weeks. Recently I had a light period and then about 2 weeks later another period, heavier than usual. This has been for the last three days. Why is this? I am 48 years old

Spotting and occasional bleeding after mirena insertion is normal so nothing to worry
But if you are having heavy bleeding than please take folllowing tablet
T pause 500 mg tid for 3 days to reduce bleeding
And please do ultrasonography of pelvis to see weather mirena is in situ or not
