What Causes Sudden And Severe Abdominal Pain?

I had a very bad abdominal pain this morning. As a result, I went to a hospital enmergency. On my way to the hospital in an ambulance, my pain suddenly stopped. The doctor in the hospital could not determine the cause of my pain. What is your opinion?

Hello and thank you to for your question.
Many things can cause severe abdominal pain. Gas, cramping, cysts rupturing are all things that may cause pain and not show up on testing or exam. The good news is that if you had an exam and imaging of your abdomen in the ED then whatever caused the pain is probably not something that is life threatening. It is always good to get checked if you have severe pain to make sure you do not have something serious like appendicitis.
