Hi,
From your description, it seems like you had an episode of vaso-vagal
syncope. Here when we stand or walk for a while, especially in a dehydrated state with inadequate fluid intake, blood supply to our brain is diminished transiently. This is more common in
pregnancy. When this happens- you just sit, or preferably lay down with legs elevated for a while, and drink plenty of fluids. Symptoms will disappear.
To avoid further episodes, drink plenty of fluids and avoid standing/walking for long, especially in hot weather. Despite this, if episodes continues to occur, kindly discuss with your doctor to look for other reasons like
hypotension or arrhythmias. Regarding the murmur you mentioned, it is difficult to comment for want of more details.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK, Pediatrician
