Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last night my husband became cold while watching tv. He put on a jacket but continued to get colder. By the time he got into bed he was shivering almost uncontrolaby. I piled the cover on him and also got into bed with him and tried to help warm him up. He finally went to sleep and quit shaking but did not sleep well. He also was cold off and on. No fever or any other symptoms. Today he went back to bed and slept four hours. He says he does not feel too bad but is tired and “foggy.”
He is most likely fighting a viral infection. The chills and shaking that he was experiencing usually accompany a fever, you can monitor to see if one occurs.
Rest, fluids and paracetamol, would help at this stage. Paracetamol would help with the chills and any aches that he may be experiencing.
I hope this helps
