What Causes Sudden Confusion And Memory Loss?
I m 54 years old and I have had some very scary moment over the past two weeks. While driving in familiar areas, I have instantly loss my sense of direction and had no idea where I was for about 2 minutes. I believe I knew where I was supposed to be going but no longer recognized where I was or how to get to where I was going. The area seemed to illuminate as I looked around and I truly had no idea where I was. Very scary! After a few minutes, something familiar triggers my mind and I began to regain a sense of familiarity again.

Dear first I would like to ask wether you have family history of Alzeimer's disease.Since some time stressfull situation or anxiety can cause this but If it happens again n again in future I would recommend you to get checked by Neurologist and get examined thoroughly.
