What Causes Sudden Death Of Person Who Had Creatinine Level At 2.0?

hello. is anyone there

My grandmother got diagnosed with kidney problem last week with urea and cretane of 122 and 2.0 resp. First time diagnosed diabetes 153 after she's put on glucose ns in hospital. Every year she remain ill for 10 - 15 days during winter but this time when it took more than that and her face started swelling, she started excreting on bed and then stopped intake and outflow, we admitted her to hospital. Next evening, doctor told us after medical reports that kidneys have failed and reffered her to appollo hospital and said chances are 10% and even not sure she could survive dialysis or ventilator or continue her on oxygen here till she lasts. It was tough but my family chose to keep her there and she breathed her last at 22:45. She was talking to us at home but got into coma like stage in hospital and her legs till hands were cold and not responding. She didn't talked or responded to pain last whole day. She died on Feb 2, 2011 and i'm disturbed for 2 questions.

Had she been hospitalised a week earlier could she've been saved. Taking her to appollo for dialysis and ventilator at that stage could have saved her. If she'd have stayed home, she'd have lasted for few more days. Kindly answer, i'm from Punjab, India.

welcome to hcm,
sorry to know that she has expired on feb 2011
urea and creatinine value suggests a renal failure
in my opinion if she has been treated on time in a proper manner there is a greater possibility of prolonging her life. detection of her diabetes status and earlier detection of kidney disease would have prolonged her life for sure.
there are treatments like dialysis for end stage renal disease.
hope this explains
with regards
