What Causes Sudden Dizzness And Pressure In The Chest?

Hi doctor, I finished a two day fast and today went out to our favorite Chinese buffet for lunch. Afterwards got very dizzy, and everything in my vision was nothing but whiteness. Also some pressure in my chest? Was that a serious event. I m thinking a blood sugar spike??? (do not have diabetes but I do have under active thyroid for which I am taking medication).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The episode you explain may be due to the changes in blood pressure after having a big meal. On the other hand, it is advisable to rule out other conditions, especially heart problems.
I would advise you to see your doctor and have a full check with an ECG examination as well.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
