What Causes Sudden Elevation In Heart Rate, Skipped Heartbeat With Sleep Apnea?
Over the past 4-5 nights I am waking up after a dream whereby my heart rate increases and from time to time my heart skips a beat. I have Sleep Apena and use a CP every night. I am 75 years old. Also, have A-Fib. When I awake I take my Pulse and BP. My normal HR is in the 60 s 70 s. I do the GYM 4-5 times a week up to 5 miles and get my heart rate up to 115 - 120 before cool down.

I really appreciate your concern, although symptoms could be due to geriatric one but still it need some investigations like CT brain, EKG and ECHO, EEG, just to rule out the pathologies else this is nothing to worry, but care need to be taken, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
