What Causes Sudden Episode Of Blurry Vision In Left Eye?
For about 20 mins my left eyes vision suddenly went blurry. At first it felt like there was something really bright in the corner of my left eye, but when i moved my eye i could see normally. It got more intense and felt like it englufed my left vision, but I was able to see my hand when placed to peripheral visions field the whole time, but it felt like this blurriness and shakiness. Almost like it was in my head instead of my eye. Then it went away and now left eye is back to normal. I had an pain in my left eye prior for few days and now its gone.
The left eye partial sudden loss of vision for 20 minutes can be a sign of retinal vascular occlusion. It normally present like what you have experienced and it also clears nearly completely. It can be a warning sign, the same thing can happen again, that time you may not be that lucky. It can be due to some other reasons also, but i advice you to better take ophthalmologist opinion to rule out the possible cause of the underlying disease.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Ophthalmologist
