What Causes Sudden Episode Of Dizziness And Weakness?

I had a tooth extracted from my lower jaw two weeks ago. I have experienced dizziness and weakness on the opposite side. I have taken two courses of antibiotics. I have been sent to A and E and spent a night in hospital. I had cat scan. No bleeding. They were going to do an MRI but changed their minds and diagnosed mini stroke. Although I mentioned my tooth extraction this was not considered significant. Please advise. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello there
the condition you have been diagnosed with is called TIA or transient ischemic attack which is because of transient blocking of one of the arteries of your brain leading to less supply of blood to part of your brain. hopefully you are recovered and will continue with some prophylactic medicine

it is possible that your dental extraction allowed a fat as an emboli to get dislodged and entered the blood stream and reached the part of brain

hope to see you better ..
