What Causes Sudden Facial Flushing And Headache?

Just got back to my hotel room after a few day conference. My face is very red as though I got a bad sunburn. I have not been in the sun at all. I have a slight headache but really do not feel that bad. Not sure what to make of it. My pulse is 60 bps and have no other symptoms or health issues.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Facial flushing and headache can be related to any medical condition.

One of the common conditions is high blood pressure so you should measure it to exclude this option.

It can also be related to tiredness, migraine or other conditions that require a physical examination.

So, if the symptoms continue you should consult your general physician.

Meanwhile, I suggest a cool shower and an anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen to relieve the headache.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
