Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Recently I was found on my bathroom floor from an apparent black out. When found I was completely soaked in sweat but my body was not hot. I was slurring my speech and unable to open my eyes. I was unconscious for approx. 3-4 hours and unable to walk do to severely swollen feet and lower legs. Prior to the black out I had severe pains in my lower abdomen as tho I was constipated. However, I could not go. I do remember sweating to the point of dripping sweat. I had just finished taking a shower and was feeling pretty good except for the gurgling in my stomach. Other than that everything seemed fine. I have an apt with a Vascular specialist to follow up on a blockage in my left leg that has been causing major swelling in both legs since 11/23/17....I also know that my recent blood work showed that I have elevated liver enzymes which I will have an ultrasound on 2/1/18. It has been suggested that I may have had a seizure or possibly a slight stroke. I take Lisinopril and Amlodipine Besylate and Cephalexin currently. Please help give me some idea as to what happened.

What Causes Sudden Fainting And Slurred Speech?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. You can take low salt diet, develop habit of walking in the morning, consult physician and measure your blood pressure. Do exercise and practice yoga and pranayam in the morning. You can have a Doppler scan of the affected site. Physiotherapy would also be useful. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
