What Causes Sudden Fainting Followed By Blurred Vision And Dizziness?
My son got out of bed yesterday morning walk to the kitchen to fill a glass of ice water passed out in the process hit the refrigerator and then the floor what would causes a stated to me that previously if he wakes up in the morn bed too fast his vision is blurred and he feels dizzy but if he wakes up in the morning laser for a few minutes and then gets up slowly he is fine
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Your son is having orthostatic hypotension. If you get up from the bed quickly blood gets pooled in the legs and does not reach the brain leading to a sudden fall in blood pressure. This leads to sudden fainting, blurred vision, and dizziness. While getting up from the bed, sit at the bedside for a minute or two and then get up slowly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mukesh Sood
