What Causes Sudden Fainting?

I have literallydropped out...passed out, fainted, not sure what to call it, 4 times in the last 4 days. It happened so fast. I hit the floor like a brick. I think I blinked about 5 times when I came awake. In pain, and stunned. Thank God My sister was at home. What could cause this? Should I make an appt to see my MD asap? I do mot have any signs of a stroke. I am 68 HB, Heart Stints, Kidney Stints. I have been feeling really ill, for the last 2 wks. Thanks. Peggy

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.

As per your history it is suggestive of a transient brain ischemic attacks, can be because of many reasons like, severe Anemia, severe Hypotension, hypoglycemia, or even any brain related organic disease too.

You need to visit the general physician and a brain scan like CT or MRI done too to get the proper diagnosis placed.

If you have any power related issues like weakness in arm, leg or face associated that must be too taken into consideration.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further queries to be answered.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
