What Causes Sudden Hair Growth On Hands And Wrist While On Thyroxine?

Hi... I jst observed some hair grwth on back of my hand frm top of wrist to thumb... m 31yr n nvr seen such hair before n dis place... what is d reason n .is this syptom f any future ailment.... I gt hypothyroidism since 1.5yr.... on medication thyroxine 50mg...m scared .....ppls help...thanx

The mentioned above is a thyroid hormone. The connection between thyroid and hair loss is well known. When the thyroid system becomes unbalanced, either going high or low, hair loss can result. Female hormone imbalances can also result in hair loss. And under stress there can be big changes in the adrenal hormones. Thus, whenever the body is thrown into imbalance, hair loss can result.
