What Causes Sudden Hearing Loss In One Ear?

i was cleaning my ears yesterday like i have 100 times before with cotton sticks. i did my left ear no issues then i did my right & my hearing was imediatly reduced. it felt like i had an ear plug in my ear. the tip did not break off and i did not hit my ear drum (there was no pain). i held me nose and blowed out, that did something but not much. when i woke this morning it felt worse. i can still hear, but like i have an ear plug in.
