What Causes Sudden Hives Like Rashes With Pus Discharge?
I recently vacationed in Cuba and took a severe allergic reaction to the hive like,pus oozing bites.I needed to have a cortisone,Benadryl injection.The itching was severe. The question is: what bit me? No one seems to know either in Cuba or Canada and I never saw an actual insect on my skin. I have been home for almost one month now and the sores are only just starting to heal.Thank you .

See, rashes are the allergic reaction due to insect bite in your case.
However , pus signifies secondary bacterial infection at the site of the bite.
If i were your doctor then i would have prescribed you an antibiotic for the pus , antihistaminic for the itching and steroid for inflammation.
