Hello..my period are supposed to start on 24th of this month...as frm past few months I m getting my periods four days prior to the date..can I intake any tablet to delay my periods...as I'm having an family function on 22nd and I hv to be the in the function..pls help..its urgent
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Irregular & frequent periods happens when there is frequent ovulation as in hormone imbalance as in hyperthroidism, Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, sudden weight changes, when there is some pelvic infection, due to certain medications like Rifampicin & use of hormone medications etc. Norethisterone 5mg tablets can be taken three times daily to delay periods. Start tablets 4 to 5 days before a period is due and continue for as long as needed. A period bleed will normally start 2 to 3 days, and possibly longer, after stopping norethisterone.
Refer to your gynaecologist for consultation Hoping your query is solved Take care.
