What Causes Sudden Leg Numbness?

I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the ladies room when I a sudden loss of feeling and control over my legs. I immediately fell and became incontinent. It was not from back pain. I have had 3 back surgeries and therefore know that wasn t the issue.

Hi,
There is something wrong with the spinal cord. The condition is known as paraesthesia or if the total loss of sensation, the paraplegia. As you have also noticed incontinence, it is certainly the loss of nerve supply from spinal cord.
It is an emergency, and you should move to ER for a MRI examination of your cord and brain.
Also electrolyte imbalance may be checked by blood work done immediately.
Thanks
