My father was sitting at the table on thursday. He was fine and then he couldnt hold his head up. He was talking but it made was jibberish. He lost all control of his bodily functions and was taken to the hospital. The performed a MRI, Cat Scan, Spinal Tap and blood work. They found no causes. What should we do next?
Understanding your concern. As per your query sudden loss of control over the body ,which can occur due to many reasons like middle ear infection , some kind of growth in middle ear or fluid in middle ear ( Meniere's disease ) . You should not ignore this , because sometimes the condition get complicated. i would suggest you to start with antibiotics, steroids and labrynthine sedatives for 5 to 7 weeks. you should go for vestibular rehabilitation exercises. You should consult with your ENT specialist and get evaluated. Doctor may order audiometry test and tuning fork test and treat it accordingly. For now i would like to suggest you some home remedies drink green tea with ginger thrice a day and drink lots of fluids like juices and water . Avoid caffeine product . If condition doesn't get well then consult cardiologist .
