What Causes Sudden Loss Of Mobility In Legs?

I have sudden loss of leg mobility after walking a mile or so. I am physically fit...eat a very healthy diet. I have been screened for M.S. and M.D. I am 44 years old. I have not had an MRI....I have been treated by a physical therapist and chiropractor....a Neurologist did not have an opinion on this problem....can you suggest something for diagnosis?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Your weak legs and easy fatigability is a very difficult diagnosis. It could be a result of multiple sclerosis or muscular dystrophy. I would recommend being sure you had a good well balanced diet, take a multivitamin daily and do moderate exercise. If you are overweight then loss the weight. Possible diagnosis include diabetes, electrolyte imbalance, thyroid abnormalities, long term infections like ebstein barr virus or toxins. Good luck in finding what is causing your fatigue
