What Causes Sudden Loss Of Vision In A Child?

I have a 9 year old girl with no health issues who has said a few times that she will lose the vision in one or both eyes and can only see dots of lights. She says it happens when she is hot - this has been at school and inside so it is not extreme heat or heat stroke

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Sudden, transient loss of vision in child is mostly seen with retina diseases.
So better to consult ophalmologist and get done detailed examination of retina.
She may also need MRI brain and eyes.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your daughter. Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
