General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to inflammation of throat or viral infection. Taking warm fluids like chicken soup with pepper and lemon tea will be helpful. You can also take chewable vitamin C. Throat lozenges also will be helpful. If no improvement or there is yellowish or thick phlegm then approach your GP and in such case you might need antibiotics.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
