What Causes Sudden Loud Noise In The Left Side Of The Head Leading To Intense Pain?

Hi, 34 yr old male, 5 9 190lbs. At work 5 days ago I had a loud pop on the left side of my head (about 2 above and behind my ear). Immedately followed by an intense pain, bee sting on steroids, that spread to the top of my head and down my neck. It lasted about 3 secs. I was slightly light headed after, the next day, I went to the ER, had a CT scan and blood work done. Everything came back fine. However I have had the short intense stinging headaches and pressure build up in my head for the past 4 days....what s going on with me?

Hello,
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to migraine.
A migraine can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head.
I suggest to use painkillers such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day.
If the pain continue, you should use prescription medication such as Triptans.
You can consult with a neurologist for further evaluation.
