My husband experienced 3 hours of loss of memory he is 50. He asked where he was and what he was doing there. He was working out with a friend he seemed to be ok and ate. My husband doesn t remember about an hour and a half of what happened including the eating. A nurse friend took his vitals all are fine. But a couple of hours later he doesn t remember again that he told me he ate and acted normal while he ate. He has a migraine now. Is it a migraine or possible stroke?

What Causes Sudden Memory Loss?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Based on his altered activity and memory loss, he would need to be assessed for a stroke. It may not be present, but should be ruled out. Imaging of the brain with CT or MRI, would be helpful to find the exact cause. I hope this helps.
