What Causes Sudden Nose Bleed, Pain And Soreness In Gums?
Hello. Today I had a nose bleed for the first time. It was very servere do to the amount of blood that came out. Over time it stopped, however my gums located under the nostral that was bleeding is sore and hurts. I am curious as to why this happened.
There are many causes of nosebleeds. A sudden or infrequent nosebleed is rarely serious, but if you have frequent nosebleeds, Then it needs medical attention . The common causes for nose bleed are trauma due to dry air , nose picking or forceful blowing of nose . Other reasons can be medicines used for thinning of blood and high blood pressure . As far gum bleeding is concern It also occur due to high blood pressure and blood thinners . Other reasons are poor oral hygiene and gum infection like gingivitis . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist if nose bleeding occur frequently and dentists for oral prophylaxis . For not maintain proper oral hygiene and do warm saline rinses .
Hope your concern has been resolved. Dr. Harry Maheshwari
