What Causes Sudden Numbness And Tingling In The Fingers?

I have noticed that three of my fingers on my left hand have wrinkling (similar to what my fingers would look like if they were in water for too long) and there s a slight numbness and occasional tingling. Is this an allergic reaction due to contact or something I should be worried about?
