What Causes Sudden Onset Of Burning Sensation In The Ribcage?

I just was awoken by a burning pain that made me unable to stand up straight right in the morning dale of my rib cages. I was doubled over. Could that be an ulcer or reflex? Never felt that before in my life. Scale of pan 9. It has subsided. What could it have been?
