What Causes Sudden Onset Of Painful Crackling Of Joints?
Sudden onset of multiple joint popping and crackling, usually accompanied by pain. Is greatly affecting my mobility. I cannot reach up over my head, turn over in bed, etc without experiencing pain which is severe at times. I already take Meloxicam 15mg daily. Help!!!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sudden onset of painful crackling of joints. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like injury to the joint that include include ligament strain or ligament tear, tendon strain or tendon tear , broken bone , and joint dislocation. Torn meniscus or degenerated cartilage from arthritis , tendinitis or brusitis can also be reasons for symptoms you mention query . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan MRI along with physical examination and blood test to confirm the diagnosis and treatment . For now start physical therapy , do gentle massage and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
