What Causes Sudden Pain And Muscle Spasms In Index And Middle Finger?

While eating my index finger and middle finger caught a catch and locked up as if I was getting a charlie horse in my hand. Them palm between my thumb and index finger became very painful and it took about 10 minutes for the pain to leave before I was able to straighten my fingers again. Doctors please what can this be. Thank You.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sudden pain and muscle spasms in index and middle finger . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like blunt trauma , coagulopathy , anticoagulant medications , fracture , carpel tunnel , allergy or hand injury. I would suggest you to consult apply ice pack , keep your finger elevated and give your hand proper rest . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination. Doctor will check tenderness and consistency order X-ray or CT scan to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory , anti coagulant , surgical drain the hematoma , remove cyst , recommend physical therapy or internal medicine doctor .
