Without previous incident my right arm between elbow and shoulder became very painful last night. The pain was intense, perhaps 7 or 8 on a scale of 10. The pain seemed deep seated but hurts not more when I move my arm than when I don t. I took 7.5 meloxicam and 5-325mg hydrocodone which is prescribed to me for arthritic pain and sever restless leg syndrome, respectively. This subdued the pain somewhat and I caught snatches of sleep during the night. This morning I noticed that the pain had spread from shoulder to back shoulder blade and downward to almost my wrist. During the next several hours I have taken no more pain medication. The pain has lessened in intensity to perhaps a 5 on a scale of 10; still persistent. The pain has lessened in my shoulder blade more so than anywhere else. I am not sure whether to seek treatment or not.
