What Causes Sudden Pain In Shoulders And Neck?

My husband is in pretty fair health, 67 yeas old. He bent down to get into the closet, he was getting back up and felt tightness in his shoulders and neck. He also felt shaky and off balance. It happened again while he was shaving {he was standing this time}. I thought it was odd. He never complains about any physical pains. Any ideals?

Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, arthritis in the neck is quite common. A serious dislocation of this can be fatal and simple X-rays can show if the neck is unstable and give a hint if there is disk disease there.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
